week 4

1. Hardware

In this week the hardware part some new problems have arisen, when the systerm is energized the plane will suddenly turn backwards, which is almost destory the systerm.

Finally we found that it is caused by the heavy  blanacing weight, when the arm of force is too small, the counterweight block will forcibly drag the plane causing the plane to lean backwards.

We waive the solar panel and reduced the weight the problem be solved temporary.

2. Software

In this week the software part do not have too much modify, so we spend more time on test the hole system, we solved some problem we found during the test one is the sensitivity of photoresistors and the other one is the shake of the sevor.


3. Test

we tested the systerm to mak sure the systerm can meet the basic requirements.

 


The acture circuit we used in the systerm is the picture below:

The LED part is remove from the systerm because we donnot have enough wire to connect all the components, and we add one more photoresistance to make sure the  light tracking part has higher fault tolerance, in this way each sevor is controled by two photoresistances there will be no conflict between them.

In the end, we decided not to install solar panel because the cardboard frame structure we were using was not enough to support the weight of the solar panels and carry it turn around.

 1. Intruduction Our group project id to build an aoutmatic solar tracker by using Arduino Nano, which can keep the platform with solar panels facing the sun or light source at all times. The system senses the position of the light source through several photosensitive resistors, when the solar panel is not facing the light source, the photoresistor will output a different amount of current, the collected current data can reflect the position relationship between the solar panel and the light source, thus control servo motor drive flat belt rotation. 2. Disscussion In the first week disscussion, because we have not get the components yet, so the software part and how to maximize the current difference between the various photosensitive resistors are discussed. 1. Design Compared with the design of the plane mask in the first week, we further improved the arrangement of the shade panel in this week to make it more effective. In the last vision of the plane we found that when in some special dgree the sigle shade panel will affect several other photoresistors, which may cause light source identification error.   In the new vision, the number of photosensitive resistors is reduced to three, and the four shade panels have be replaced by a T shape shade panel, the photosensitive resistors below the shade panel is used for shuffling control and the photosensitive resistor under the shade panel can do the swing up and down control. When all three photosensitive resistors can come into the light, the platform will face the light. 2.
